Navegar en la transición impulsada por los datos: superar los retos y crear resiliencia en los profesionales de los datos
Description
In today's rapidly evolving business landscape, the transition towards becoming more data-driven presents numerous challenges for companies. While many organizations prioritize technology in their data science initiatives, the true essence of data science often gets lost in translation. As a result, data professionals frequently find themselves grappling with the disconnect between technological prowess and meaningful problem-solving. In my proposed conference, I aim to shed light on this issue and offer practical strategies to help data professionals navigate these challenges without succumbing to frustration. Drawing from my own experiences in assisting companies with developing robust data strategies, I will explore the importance of aligning data initiatives with business objectives and emphasize the need for a holistic approach that goes beyond simply leveraging advanced technologies. Furthermore, as the demand for skilled data scientists continues to rise, it is imperative that we reevaluate our approach to education in this field. While technical proficiency is undoubtedly essential, the emphasis on soft skills such as storytelling, persuasion, and effective communication is often overlooked. In my conference, I intend to delve into this aspect and initiate a dialogue on the importance of integrating soft skills training into data science curricula. By addressing this gap at the academic level, we can better equip future data professionals with the tools they need to succeed in a business environment. Additionally, I will explore the significance of cultivating a business-oriented mindset and proficiency in utilizing a business language, particularly when engaging with C-level stakeholders. Through collaborative discussion and actionable insights, I hope to inspire positive change in how we approach data education and professional development.
